What is Ludowish?

Your wishlist for friends and family. You collect wishes from any shop in one place and share the list with a link. Whoever gives you something sees what is already taken, so nothing arrives twice. Ludowish is free, without ads and without tracking.

How does a wish get onto my list?

Copy the link of a product and paste it into “Add a wish”. Ludowish fetches the title, picture and price from the shop’s page; if that does not work, you fill them in yourself. In the app you can also share a page straight from the browser or the shop’s app to Ludowish.

Ludowish takes the price once, with “approx.” in front, and does not check it again. Wishes without a link work too, like time together or something handmade.

Who sees my list?

You decide for each list, when you create it and later in the list’s settings:

Everyone, also on your profile and on Google

New lists start as “With link”. Child profiles have no public lists.

How does following work?

Whoever wants to follow you sends a request, and you confirm or decline it, even with a public profile. Nobody learns about a decline.

Your followers see your lists set to “Followers” and your public ones, lists “With link” only with the link. Under Me > Followers you can remove or block someone at any time. Only you see how many followers you have.

Can people reserve without an account?

Yes. Whoever opens your list through the link taps “I'll give this” on a wish, no account needed. An e-mail address is optional: with it come the link to cancel the reservation later and a reminder before the occasion. Without an e-mail, the link Ludowish shows after reserving does the job.

Everyone who gives you something then sees that the wish is taken. You do not see in your own list what is reserved. That protects the surprise but does not hide it: open your own link signed out, and you see it the way your guests do.

How do child profiles work?

For children under 13, you as a parent create a profile in your account. Your child needs no e-mail address: they sign in with their username and a PIN, or connect their device with a QR code. A child profile is never public and cannot be found through any search.

Teenagers from 13 have their own account, with their parents’ consent up to their country’s age limit.

What can parents control?

Under Me > Family you see who follows your child, whom they follow and who saved which list, and you can remove or block people. Your child confirms requests themselves; you get a note about each one.

Only you decide whether the profile is for followers or private and whether the birthday is shown. You can also pause the profile, set a new PIN, disconnect devices, export the data and delete the profile, together with a second parent if you like. In your child’s lists you do not see what is reserved.

How do I delete my account?

In the settings under “Delete account”, in the browser as in the app. Your account is deactivated at once and deleted for good after 14 days; until then you can sign in and cancel the deletion. Parents delete child profiles under Me > Family.

Which notifications do I get?

In the app, Ludowish sends push notifications if you allow them: for example when someone wants to follow you, when there are new wishes on a list you see, or when a birthday is coming up. New wishes come bundled, not one by one. The browser has no push notifications.

What you get by push and what by e-mail, you choose in the settings under “Notifications”, for each kind separately. Child profiles get no e-mails.
